About

Started my career by attending Honolulu Community College in the fall of 1977. Finished with an associate degree in machine shop technology in the fall of 1980. At that time was serving in the Hawaii National Guard as a UH-1H helicopter mechanic. I was hired by Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a marine machinist in July of 1981. I transferred to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in April of 1985. Up to this point I worked on submarines. I worked on Sargo Class, a few SSBNs, 637 Classe and the 688 Class. In 1990, I started the journeyman to tech program in a mechanical section of Planning Yard. From that point on, I did design work for surface crafts until I retired in June of 2016. I never lost my love of subs.
