We've been helping RC submarine enthusiasts build, operate, and enjoy model submarines since 1999.
At The Nautilus Drydocks, we believe the RC submarine hobby should be accessible, rewarding, and supported by real expertise. Whether you're purchasing your very first ready-to-run boat or building an advanced scale model from scratch, our goal is simple: provide the products, knowledge, and support to help you succeed.
Why we exist
Most hobby shops sell products. We solve problems.
We know that RC submarines can appear intimidating to newcomers. Unlike RC cars or airplanes, submarines involve ballast systems, waterproof electronics, radio propagation underwater, and specialized construction techniques.
Our mission has always been to remove those barriers by providing expert guidance, proven products, and ongoing support before and after every sale.
What makes us different
We have helped thousands of builders ranging from first-time hobbyists to experienced scale modelers for decades. I've spend years creating over 800 educational (and entertainement) videos surrounding this hobby, all available for free on my YouTube channel. When you reach out, you'll get real answers from someone who actually builds and operates RC submarines. We only offer products we believe are appropriate for this hobby—not simply everything available. On top of this, the Nautilus Drydocks Community is second to none.
