October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this is a particularly dear thing to me and my family right now as Renee, my beautiful wife, fights her way through breast cancer.
This is a charity sweepstakes for a fully tested and trimmed RC Submarine that has been modified, upgraded, and in Breast Cancer Awareness livery. Proceeds from this sweepstakes will go to support breastcancer.org.
The Nereid Rose
In Greek mythology, the Nereids were sea nymphs, daughters of Nereus (the “Old Man of the Sea”) and Doris, an ocean goddess. They were benevolent and protective figures, often helping sailors in distress and guiding heroes on perilous journeys. They appear to sailors during storms, offering light and rescue — echoing hope and support for those in a fight.
The Nereid Rose is a modified Thundertiger Neptune. The stock Neptune was upgraded to include metal linkage horns, upgraded seven bladed scimitar brass propeller, and a top-of-the-line Futaba T12FGH 72mhz radio for excellent performance and depth capabilities.

Note that the winner will need to source a suitable charger for lead-acid batteries.

Due to the insane myriad of rules and regulations concerning sweepstakes and raffles, technically this sweepstakes is only open to residents of the United States and Canada. A Color of Your Choice!
Understanding that some people may not be excited about a pink submarine, the winner will also have the option of having the boat repainted in a single color of their choice at no expense (please allow some time for the repaint!) . I honestly do hope that the winner keeps it pink. It would be a great gift for daughter, neice or granddaughter!

The purpose of this Sweepstakes is to raise awareness and voluntary support for breast cancer research and support organizations.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

6. Prize

Sponsor will cover standard shipping to the winner’s address in the U.S. or Canada.
7. Winner Selection and Notification

Drawing Date: On or about October 30th, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Winner will be notified by email and/or phone within 5 business days of the drawing.

Winner must respond within 7 calendar days or an alternate winner may be selected.
For Canadian entrants, the selected individual must also correctly answer a skill-testing question as per Section 3.
8. Publicity Release
By accepting the prize, the winner grants the Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, and city/state for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
9. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any factor beyond Sponsor’s control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes.

10. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, affiliates, employees, and representatives from any and all claims or damages arising from participation or prize acceptance.
11. Privacy
Information collected from entrants will be used solely for administration of the Sweepstakes and will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties, except as necessary to fulfill the prize or comply with applicable law.
