The Los Angeles class of the US Navy is the epitome of the classic American nuclear submarine. A high degree of detail was incorporated into the model using the latest 3D printing technology. The result is just four hull sections with very smooth surfaces. A single coat of primer and paint is all that's needed. The tedious sanding of the model surfaces to remove the 3D print texture is no longer necessary.

The Los Angeles is a single-hull model with walls up to 4 mm thick made of impact-resistant resin. The model is equipped with a 550 ml piston tank, which is positioned forward of the submarine's center of gravity. This allows the bow to protrude further out of the water when surfaced, just like the real thing. The residual buoyancy was calculated so that the model floats realistically on the waterline.

The central unit of the equipment rack is the piston tank with a capacity of 550 ml, which we developed and supply pre-assembled. Two sections are connected to this via flanges. This allows for quick assembly of the technical components in a single day. Robust standard servos for controlling the rudders are located in the stern. A powerful brushless motor provides the necessary propulsion.  

The decals and markings for your submarine are included in the kit.
