You've seen the footage of the Nautilus Drydocks sharks in action, and now it's time for you to build one of your own!
You can view the entire buildup of this shark from start to finish by clicking here.
I have most of the products to build this shark listed out for purchase on Amazon. Click here!
For assembly, it is recommended to tack parts with gel CA such as the product offered by Gorilla Brand. For strength, it is also HIGHLY recommended to lay up a strip of fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin over all seams
This kit includes parts needed to construct the body of the RC shark. Parts for the RC operation are NOT included, but are listed out in this listing for you to source.
The completed shark measures:
Length: 980mm / 38.5"
Width: 365mm / 14.3"
Height: 355mm / 14"
There are two material options for your kit:
Option 1:
High strength ABS, fiberglass reinforced plastic. This kit will be MUCH stronger than the standard resin, but you will notice some striations as a result of the printing process. There are also a few more pieces to this kit, so additional work assembling and reinforcing the body will be needed.
Option 2:
High resolution resin: This material is exceptionally high resolution, meaning that post-processing is basically unneeded. Note that this material is far more brittle than the ABS option, however if the assembled shark is handled with care, this won't be an issue at all.
For either of these kits, please allow a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks fabrication time.
If you have access to a printer that can print in ABS, ASA or PETG, you may wish to try printing the body out yourself. If so, go to the STL file package page by clicking here.
NOTE: Shipping costs will be calculated at time of shipping and a separate invoice sent.
