Update From the Drydocks - May 21st, 2021
Well. Shoot.
As most of you know, I headed out to Houston Texas last weekend for my bi annual cancer check up. I was pretty excited about this because it was going to be my longest cost country flight in my plane to date. I am very happy to report that after the repairs to my fuel pump, our plane performed absolutely beautifully and the flight there and back went off without a hitch.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my cancer check up. My CT scan revealed cancer cells lodged in my abdominal muscles. Fortunately the cancer is slow growing there is no immediate panic. As of right now, I have major surgery scheduled for October 6th. This will be very similar to my previous surgery, just without the excavation of my innards. I will be out of commission for close to the entire month for the surgery and recovery.
Redoutable Refused
Well, sort of. After a string of increasingly detailed demands from the customer in Greece, I came to the conclusion that the product that he was after was far beyond the scope of our initial discussions and quotation. The Redoutable is a perfect RC sub, but not a museum quality display piece. Apparently he wanted a dollar's worth of boat for a dime's pricepoint. I elected to pull the plug on the deal rather than meet his increasingly high demands.
If you would be interested in a gorgeous display model, or potentially converting this display into a fully functional RC boat, hit me up and let's see if we can make it happen. I'd probably need $750 for this boat to cover my costs.
Spare Charger, Anyone?
You are after a new or spare battery charger, let me know and I can hook you up with this one. It is in perfect condition and all let it go for $30 plus shipping. Charges LiPo, SLA, NiMh and NiCd.
212 Layup
I finally got my shipment of 28 oz cloth, and we will begin laying up the big 212 this morning. Standby for updates!
